Subject: sending email to list; and exporting list
Got the script working -- very nice! -- and have two questions:

Is it possible to send normal email messages to the list in the database, and if so how?

Can the list be exported to a csv, text or similar file?

Before installing "post notification" my plan was to add a New Story Alert widget on the site. It would have an input form for subscribing or subscribing; but it would connect to an external email list application, not a Wordpress plugin.

People would sign up, and when I posted an item on the web, I would just send a note to the members of the email list. That way I could easily give notice of each posting; or one notice per week; and in addition I could send other useful information as a newsletter from time to time -- without worrying about duplicate or redundant address lists, or the need to export a list and then import it, etc.

It would be nice if post notification, which is very slick and convenient, could do the same job the external email-list application could do. Please et me know if it can.

Best wishes.

Send to the list: Not due to the Database structure this isn't possible (The exact reason is a bit complicated, but has to do with PN being able to handle hundreds of subscribers - something subscibe2 can't). This will be possible in 2.0, but I don't know when that will finish that.

Export: If you choose show as list in the list Email dialog you can easily copy and paste the emails.
